The Evolution of an Artist

Drawing Class

The Lyme Art Association was offering a drawing class as I was getting back into drawing, taught by Jeanne C. Potter. The classical approach to this class was a nice contrast to the drawings I did using the “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” book. I saw it as a way to learn what areas I need to work on, such as perspective, and drawing ellipses. Another thing I learned is how much I enjoy working in charcoal. I hadn’t worked with it in many years, and this class made me realize how much I missed it.

After the class, I continued working on projects that I thought would help me develop as an artist.
